"Congratulations to the men's varsity eight - their race time of 00:06:54.0 at Saturday's Frostbite Regatta
against GVSU, MSU, and Notre Dame was faster than FOUR of the competing collegiate eights.
Well done!
The docks will be removed from the river this Saturday, the 22nd Starting at 9:00 AM.
We will need a small team of adults and rowers to remove the docks to the shore using a rented Skytrack crane.
We will also need a small team of adults and rowers to organize equipment in the new boathouse,
as well as moving the last of GRRowing's stuff out of the "gray shack".
"…Reflect on your experiences and accomplishments. Remember the dedication,
the pain, the jubilation, the camaraderie -- your family.
Remember the feel of the oar in your hand, the swing, the perfect catch, the pull,
the drive and the run of the boat beneath you. But most importantly, never forget that the
glory is not in you or any individual. Instead, remember that the glory is always in the team."
