Amy Burton

Amy Burton rowed for Carlson High School in Downriver Detroit for four years. During the summers she rowed for the Wyandotte Boat Club with rowers from other schools. During her last summer of rowing she placed in her women's double at the National Championship race. 

In 1999, Amy started to help GR Crew as a volunteer. She quickly became the novice coach, and became women's varsity head coach, a position she held until 2011. She recently has switched programs to work with adults for private coaching as well as working with club members on an individual basis. She also is an assistant coach for the Adult Learn to Row program during the summer. 

Amy teaches 4th grade in Cedar Springs at the Creative Technologies Academy, and has Master's Degree in Educational Leadership.
